I visit Alberta nearly every year as I have family there. I always have an amazing time but this was a first time I visited Alberta during the summer as opposed to the winter (it's freezing then and I'm too afraid to walk out of the house). I was a complete tourist (selfie stick and all) and got to see the beautiful lakes in Alberta and got to hike on the Rockies....one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had!
We then visited Vancouver (a first for me!) and got to drive from Calgary to Vancouver (it took 10 hours....I promise I will never go on a road trip again.....it was horrible and I don't know how people do it!). This was honestly one of the most scenic routes I've ever seen with beautiful turquoise water on the right and huge majestic mountains on the left....it was absolutely breathtaking and the drive was fun; driving on the coast is always a blast!
Also, I had the opportunity to walk across a suspension bridge (so scary!), try out zip-lining, tree top walking on the Rainforest and met some amazing people.
I'm very spiritual as a person and I always feel that when I'm surrounded by nature, I always feel so close to God and I am humbled to experience so much beauty. The experience of being surrounded by mountains with gorgeous, clear lakes just takes your breath away and honestly I am so grateful that God gave me the opportunity to experience His majesty. I was so at peace and I felt as my soul got cleansed.
I hope that you have the opportunity to travel to Alberta and B.C and find the same peace I did. Here are some pictures I took while on my trip from my IG; I hope you enjoy them!
