The Too Faced "makeup primer is infused with coconut water, a probiotic-based ingredient, and skin revivers which work together to boost skin’s radiance, promote elasticity, and help hydrate while locking down makeup for fresher, longer, and more flawless wear. Too Faced harnessed the science of hydration to create a creamy, penetrating primer that acts like an energy drink for the skin by replenishing moisture levels. It can be worn alone for a dewy, healthy looking finish, or under bronzers, foundations, and powders to create the perfect canvas." Sephora.com
As mentioned, I love this product and mainly because I'm trying to avoid silicone & parabens and this primer doesn't contain any. The coconut water is super hydrating on my very dry skin. Please note, that I do moisturize my skin and then use this primer because my skin is uber dry but you are able to only use the primer directly. My skin feels soft and moisturized all day whenever. It prevents dry spots from happening and stops my foundations from breaking up and flaking off. I always set my makeup with powder and use a setting spray and my makeup always stays in place no matter how hot it is outside. My makeup comes on super smooth with this primer and my pores aren't as visible so it gives you a great finish.
The primer does add a dewy finish to your look. My makeup comes off a little more matte as it could be the foundation I use and the setting powder; but if I don't set my foundation, it gives my skin a really pretty dewy look.
The 1.35 oz costs about $40.00 CAD in Sephora while the 0.68 is $18.00 CAD. I would recommend trying out a sample or the travel size so you can see whether it's worth your money. I have tried other primers that have a coconut water base, such as the Marc Jacobs primer, but I find that primer to not be as hydrating...it's not bad though but the Too Faced primer has been the best so far.
A little goes a long way for this primer. Definitely worth every penny!
