The Clarisonic is a "facial cleansing brush" that is combined with a cleanser (I use Cetaphil) to give you thoroughly exfoliated skin. When buying the Clarisonic, it comes with their own cleanser which is nice and foamy but I prefer my Cetaphil over it and it comes with a "regular" scrubbing brush. I found the "regular" brush to be too abrasive for my skin (I'm very sensitive) so I bought a "sensitive" brush with it that I use daily. I kept the "regular" brush to use on my body if need be. I have some slight rosacea on my forearms so it's really nice for that.
I have the original Clarisonic where there isn't a timer installed in it. The newer Clarisonic Mia/Mia 2 has a timer for 1 minute which I find really irritating because it times you out while you are using it whereas, the original is manually operated.
So enough about the facts; I want to tell you why I love this so much! I am obsessed with cleaning my face (I know its odd) and I love the look of naturally glowy skin. The Clarisonic goes deep down inside and gets rid of all the dirt and makeup and gives me such a nice, clean feeling with super soft skin. Even when I think I've removed my entire make up, I see tons of gunk on the scrubbing brush that was missed by using a make-up wipe. It's definitely helped even out my skin tone and prevented future break-outs from occurring (I still break-out but it's not as bad. Also, note alot of people experience "purging" when they first use a Clarisonic. That's when all the dirt that was stuck under your skin comes out because the Clarisonic is providing a deep scrub and you break out like crazy! Stay calm though because the results later on are worth it).
While it may be an extra step in your skincare regime, you only need to use the Clarisonic once to know it's truly worth the investment (it is pricey!). I use mine in the shower and 1 minute on your skin is more than enough daily. I am absolutely obsessed with mine and I cannot part with it. Hopefully, it can do wonders for your skin like it has with mine.
