This book is much different than the healthy eating type cookbooks that most celebrities put out. There is so much cheese and "bad" stuff in this book (by the way, who doesn't like the "bad" stuff?). There are many "everyday" recipes such as; salads, breakfast sandwiches, appetizers, side dishes that anyone could whip up super quick. I love that this book is targeted towards the most novice cooks to the cooks who want a little more drama in their food. Most of the recipes are simple and so easy to use unlike some other cookbooks.
The book is also full of great stories from Chrissy about her mom, or John Legend (her husband), her dad, trips she's taken, jobs she's done. Chrissy's stories and descriptions for her dishes are hilarious; just as I had expected. She has this way of speaking about food that is so relatable and likable. And the pictures! It's a beautiful book.
It is a fun read, even if you don't make any of the recipes. And if you don't, you will be missing out on some really, really great food.
So far, I haven't had a chance to make anything and I've just been drooling over all the recipes. I can't wait to start cooking, I just don't know where to start...
