The bakery is knows to be very "blogger" friendly and the set-up is very chic and honestly it looks like you walked into a "Pinterest" bakery shop. Every little corner is photograph-worthy and super cute.
We visited the shop around 3:30-ish on a weekend and the whole food section was empty except for 1 cupcake and a few macarons. We were so disappointed that they didn't have any food available and they could not re-stock their items either (apparently!). Other than how beautiful the bakery was, there was no other positive i can say about this place. They had run out of hot chocolate (seriously!) and there was barely anything left to eat. We found a corner to sit and enjoy our coffee but the entire place was cluttered with empty coffee cups and plates....it was a mess! None of the tables were wiped down either. I have always refused to sit in a dirty place/restaurant, it's a huge pet peeve of mine. I asked one of the servers to remove some of the plates and she rolled her eyes at me. After a few minutes she came by and picked up the empty cutlery but did not wipe down the area.
Basically we had a really horrible experience. Many people walked in and when they saw the store had no food items; they just walked out. I'm not going to go visit this place again; not sure if their location on Queen St. East is any better. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and was sorely disappointed.
The bakery seems better through pictures and not in real life.
