"You are beautiful – no matter how flawed you feel, no matter how upset you may about the way you look or how hard you find it to make friends, or be confident. Believe in yourself, and never let anyone tell you’re not beautiful – not even yourself." My Pale Skin #YOULOOKDISGUSTING
I am so excited for this line to come out! November 5th cannot come any sooner!!
In teaming up with H&M, Rousteing joins other big industry names such as, including Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Donatella Versace and Alexander Wang.
The Balmain x H&M collection; which includes menswear as well as womenswear, will land in stores on November 5 2015.
I always love when big designers team up with more local brands such as when Target collaborated with Peter Pilotto and Altuzarra. It gives us all access to wearing designer brands and not coughing up a huge amount of money in doing so. The only downfall is that it is always an absolute nightmare to purchase the collection. In Canada, we still don't have shopping online for H&M (you NEED to get on this H&M!) so that's a moot point and the stores are always a disaster. Basically I have no other alternative than to wait in line or to ship it to the US. The worst part is that this collection will be released in the fall of 2015 which is basically winter in Canada so, we all need to be prepared to freeze our butts off in line.
Seriously, I don't know if I can wait another 4 months.
Have you noticed an increase in fashion/makeup bloggers developing their own eyelash brand? I guess it's the new trend of having your own line and promoting it like crazy on Instagram. I wanted to quickly compile a list of popular bloggers who have just launched their own line of falsies. I haven't tried any of them yet (although the Huda eyelashes in mink are gonna be mine soon!!). It's hard to determine which ones are actually good because we are always bombarded with pictures on how amazing they are and never see the negative points. They are all pretty diverse except the lashes from Tamanna Roashan aka @DressYourFace since she just released her first pair so they are the standard strip lash. They range from Human Hair, Mink, Strip lashes, Individial lashes and even 3D.
The right lash depends on your eye shape and really what you are looking for. If you want ease then I would recommend going for the strip lash as opposed to the individual one. At the bottom of this post is a video from Brazilian Blogger Camila Coelho about how to choose the right lash and some of her favs. I also added 2 videos from Huda Kattan (@hudabeauty) on how to apply individual lashes and a really quick way to attach strip lashes (beware, she is promoting her own brand so don't let it affect your buying decision). Personally, the best advice I received about wearing falsies were to understand the shape of your own eye and not to be afraid....keep practising.
Some of my fav eyelash brands are MAC, Ardell (love them!) and Sephora. I've heard great things about E.l.f and Shu Uemura as well.
To be honest I'm always weary when purchasing a brand promoted by a blogger; nevertheless, their own brand! In my past life I was a fashion blogger (actually TRIED to be a fashion blogger) so, I know there are many companies and websites out there that will entice you to promote their products and use bloggers to market their brand. I do feel bloggers are absolutely amazing at promoting their brand even though the quality of the product could be awful...it's their job after all. So, if you are interested in any of the blogger brands listed below, just do your research and maybe buy 1 pair instead of 20 so you can try them out. Most eyelashes are sold with a glue but some come separately and most are re-usable as long as you take care of them.
From what I can tell the 2 most popular brands are Huda Beauty and Tamanna Roashan; which are currently sold out!

So I have an unhealthy obession with making my lips bigger than they are...it's all Kylie Jenner's fault! While others will disagree, according to me my lips are tiny and thin. I have always wanted big lips simply because I think it looks really good and wearing lipstick looks even better. Although, I know there are tons of surgical procedures out there I am way too chicken to pursue them so, I had to go about finding another way.
I won't lie but I have watched tons of videos on how to fake big lips and honestly the video by Desi Perkins is the best one out there! The key is to overline the cupid's bow and merge that in to your natural lip line. Althoghth most MUA's will tell you that using gloss will help make your lips bigger, Desi suggests a more Matte lip to enhance your pout. I've tried both ways and I love the matte lip.
Here's the video; hope you find it as helpful as I did.
Anybody love infusing water as much as I do? I'm currently observing Ramadan where you abstain from eating & drinking from sunrise to sunset. We have been blessed to be observing during this extreme heat wave and infusing water has been the best way to hydrate myself.
We all know drinking water is important (drinking 8 classes is tough, I know!). Water makes up more than two thirds of the human body. Despite the importance of water, many of us don’t get enough. It is vital to for just about every bodily function. It lubricates digestion, regulates body temperature, flushes out toxins, and transports nutrients throughout the body.
So, I'm sure most of you are saying that drinking water is so boring! well, with infusing fruits/vegetables in water you can add some flavour and maybe look forward to drinking it up (Also, it looks so pretty). Experts say that a good rule of thumb to infusion is 1-2 hours at room temperature or 3-4 hours in the fridge to achieve a potent flavour and colour. For extra hydration, try adding coconut water instead.
There is a whole method on which fruits and veggies to infuse to target certain functions and to achieve specific benefits. Here are some ideas from Greenblender.com on different combinations:
1 - Strawberry & Basil - For immunity
2- Blueberry Lavender - For calming and good for antioxidants
3 - Cucumber and Jalapeno - Detoxifies
4- Apple & Cinnamon - Cleansing
5 - Rosemary & Grapefruit/ Raspberry & lime- Improve digestion
6 - Watermelon - hydration
7 - Citrus Fruit with Mint - Digestion and packed with Vitamin C
8 - Lemon, Cucumber & Mint - Digestion, cleansing and detoxing
9 - Blackberry, cherry & lime - Vitamin A & C - rich in antioxidants
